Date input fields have numerous accessibility issues. Implement a method for handling date input accessibly.
While input type="date" is one possibility, the use of text fields with a date picker is (as of 2022) considered more accessible. Explore/implement the use of an accessible date picker, particularly the Duet Date Picker (MIT licensed and aimed at WCAG 2.1 AA conformance).
