Identifier types are no longer localized, as a side effect of implementing Extended Types (CO-362). This will likely also apply to any other models that end up supporting extended types (CO-370).

The tricky part here is that localizations come from lang.php for default types but for the CoExtendedType model for extended types. One option would be for a method to be added to CoExtendedType that checks for extended types, then calls the default _txt if not found.
