the grouper-lib.jar is inconvenient because:

1. Some jars dont work when the manifest is not there (grouper-lib shares a manifest), see listserv for details
2. Cant easily replace one jar if all zipped up together
3. Dont see when class overlap with other jars if integrating with other code
