Rather than checking the UI for daemon jobs that have errors, a customer requested the ability to get notification emails when any job or specific job fails.

Maybe the list of jobs could be comma-separated names, or comma-separated regular expressions. Then, another property would be for the emails to go to hardcoded address or to a list.
